Is your website mobile optimised? If not you could soon lose a lot of your website traffic
From the 21st April 2015, websites that are not mobile-friendly will no longer show up in Google results from searches made on mobile devices.
What does this mean for you?
It can mean anything from losing visitors to your website, through to the loss of revenue or bookings, as well as wasted revenue on marketing activities such as Google AdWords.
Ultimately your company image may also suffer, with consumers questioning why they can't find you when they look for you using a mobile.
Not sure if your site is mobile-friendly?
The easiest thing to do is simply take a look at your website using a smartphone or tablet device.

Why is Google making this change?
Because Google is all about enhancing the user experience, ensuring that the search results it lists are the most relevant and easy for the user to browse.
According to the Office for National Statistics, access to the Internet using a mobile phone doubled from 24% in 2010 to a whopping 58% in 2014.
Recent research conducted among Scrummy London and our parent agency Vie Digital’s clients puts a range of different sector client mobile traffic figure closer to around 40% of all traffic.
Either way that’s a huge amount to lose among a customer base increasingly reliant on mobiles and tablet devices rather than desktops.
Scrummy London is a web marketing & design consultancy specialising in hospitality, leisure and travel. Our parent agency Vie Digital handles the rest.
We help launch and grow hospitality, leisure and tourism businesses, setting up brand and marketing platforms and using web and mobile technologies to create awareness, generate customer visits, drive sales and increase loyalty.
All responsive websites that we build are designed for viewing on mobile as well as tablet devices so, if Google soon brings in the same criteria for tablets, you will be prepared!
